Mgapiette wax ring carving kit, containing craft knife, sandpaper, wax and thumb protector

We have been working away for the past few months on an idea. For some time now, we've wondered how we can spread the joy of creating jewellery further. We love finding new designers and special, unique pieces... and we also love being creative ourselves. There's nothing more satisfying than the feeling of learning a new skill using it to create something for yourself.

So it's a huge thrill to be able to launch our Ring Carving DIY Kit on Magpiette! Using the 'lost wax casting' method, we've created a jewellery making kit which allows you to learn a professional jewellery skill and make something in solid silver (or gold, if you wish), whilst not requiring a big investment in expensive tools like many other jewellery making methods.

Our Ring Carving DIY Kit is the perfect kit for anyone to try their hand at wax carving - we've included everything you need, including tools, wax ring blanks, video tutorial and we've even made returning the carved wax to us super simple with the included postage-paid box. It also includes the metal casting fee, to turn your wax into solid sterling silver, and giving the ring either a matte or shiny, polished finish.

The only big decision left is: what type of ring to create? Minimal, delicate signet ring, or bold, statement ring? Fluid, organic shape, or something facted and geometric? It's even totally possible to carve a wedding band from the wax, to add extra special meaning to something that will be forever treasured, or a twist on a placeholder engagement ring.

We've been delighted with the response to the kit so far and always welcome suggestions on what else we can do to make it even better. Keep an eye out, we'll be posting ring inspiration and carving tips as we go... but if you have any questions then you can always get in touch with us at info@magpiette.com.au
